Natural stone is mined from natural rock mass, its formation often needs to go through hundreds of millions of years of evolution, which belongs to non-renewable resources.    However, with the widely recognized decorative effect of natural stones, the export and utilization of natural stones in various countries has increased exponentially, the storage of stone mineral resources is declining rapidly, and stone waste has become a common problem in the stone industry.

China has a vast territory, but its reserves of non-metallic mineral resources are in the middle of the world, and its per capita share is far lower than that of more than 80% of the world.    With the accelerated pace of urban construction, the shortage of natural stone has become a major obstacle to development and construction.    How to improve the utilization rate of existing stone resources has become the primary issue.    Especially in building decoration, efficient and reasonable utilization can significantly reduce the waste of stone resources and improve the ecological environment.

Restricted by the development of technology, there is serious loss of natural stone in the process of mining and processing.    The yield of natural stone is generally less than 40%, or even only about 20%.    Therefore, to actively study and introduce new equipment, new technology and new technology is the key to improve the utilization rate of stone.

1.  Extraction of symbiotic ore bodies

Ore bodies with decorative materials are often surrounded by other minerals, commonly known as non-desolate rocks.    In the process of mining, stone enterprises can choose to mine the symbiotic ore bodies around the rock mass.    Magma in the ore bed can be refined into chemical raw materials and fillers for metallurgical industry.    Besides making full use of mineral resources, it is also a good way to increase the economic benefits of enterprises.

2.  Reuse of gravel waste

According to the current technical level, the waste rate of natural stone is over 50%.    In the process of mining and processing, a large number of non-standard rubble and gravel will be produced.    If these rubbish can be reused scientifically and reasonably, not only the utilization rate of natural stone can be increased, the economic benefit can be improved, but also the treatment crushing can be reduced.    The pressure of stone waste turns waste into treasure and harm into benefit.

3.  Stone Patchwork and mosaic

A large number of non-standard rubble produced in the process of natural stone processing are often cut into small size stones with different shapes.    As an important component of mosaic stone and stone patchwork, small face bricks with different colors are bonded to large slabs with different shapes.    In addition, these small-sized panels with different shapes are often used for collage of outdoor wall and ground patterns.    According to the quality differences between different stones, they are more decorative when they are stitched together into vivid patterns such as circles, squares, triangles, animals and plants by using aesthetic principles such as tone matching and geometric shapes.

4.  Exquisite crafts and daily necessities

Irregular stones produced in the mining process are often used to carve exquisite ornaments, such as pine bamboo, flowers, birds and animals, animals and plants;    table lamp holder, calendar board, pen holder, inkstone platform, scale and pullers of various drawers are made from the corner materials produced after cutting the specification board;    and the corner materials that meet the requirements of electrical appliances can also be made into electric brakes.    Board, light switch, switch cabinet and so on are indispensable materials in power industry.

5.  Artificial stone and other related building materials

In addition to natural stone, artificial stone is also one of the commonly used building materials at present.    The synthetic stone in artificial stone is made from crushed stone of natural stone as raw material, polyester resin and cement through mixing, bonding and polishing.    Stone and crushed stone can also be used as auxiliary materials of concrete, building river embankments and paving roads.    Mushroom stone wall is a common material for building engineering.    Crushed stone powder can also be used for filling chemical products and filling paint for building decoration and painting.

6.  Combustion AIDS and desulfurizers

Crushed stone waste can also be processed into stone powder after grinding.    Stone powder is a very good coal combustion aids and desulfurizers.    Adding 5-10% marble powder to coal for daily use can help coal burn sufficiently, reduce sulfur dioxide gas escape, improve indoor and outdoor environment, save energy and improve economic benefits.
